About the Artist
I’m Alicia, the artist behind Studio Henbane, a Pacific Northwest studio dedicated to handcrafted adornments, mixed-media art, and traditional craft.
My creative practice spans jewelry, copperwork, beadwork, fiber arts, basketry, and mixed media, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, materials, and enduring traditions of human creativity. I am fascinated by the ways people have transformed natural materials into objects of beauty, meaning, and utility throughout history, and that curiosity continues to shape my work today.
Each piece is made slowly and intentionally, often incorporating natural and contemporary materials selected for their texture, character, and story. Whether exploring traditional techniques, experimenting with new materials, or creating one-of-a-kind adornments, I approach each project as both a creative practice and an opportunity to learn.
Studio Henbane exists as both an artistic outlet and an ongoing exploration of material culture, historical craftsmanship, and the relationship between hand, tool, and material. Through the studio, I share not only finished work, but also the research, experiments, and discoveries that inspire it.
Thank you for supporting local artists, women-owned small businesses, and the value of handmade work.
